NALDIC (National Association for Language Development in the Curriculum) is the UK’s national subject association for EAL. Password are proud to be headline sponsoring this flagship event in their events calendar. Our Head of School Partnerships, Dr Helen Wood and Head of University Partnerships, Shelley Vink, both former EAL/EAP classroom practitioners, are excited to be joining NALDIC members for this event.

The British Boarding Schools’ Workshop is a focal event in the calendar year for all those involved in working with educational agents, guardians, and international pupils and their parents. We’re excited to be participating again and look forward to seeing many of our school partners and meeting new colleagues across the independent boarding school sector, too. Password will have a stand in the atrium at the venue, and our Head of School Partnerships, Dr Helen Wood, will be on hand for meetings.

ICEF Berlin is the pinnacle of the international education sector’s annual networking calendar and ICEF’s flagship event. Connecting thousands of colleagues, peers, partners and friends from around the world, it is the annual must-attend event for the international education community. With ample opportunity for networking, come by the Password table to meet with our Head of HE Partnerships, Shelley Vink.

Our Head of School Partnerships, Dr. Helen Wood, is attending this event as a delegate. She will be available for networking chats during the coffee and lunch breaks and hopes to learn a great deal from chatting to fellow delegates about their roles in admissions, marketing and recruitment, as well as sharing insights from Password.

Effectively supporting learners who use English as an Additional Language (EAL) requires a purposeful approach to assessment. Led by Password’s Head of School Partnerships, Dr Helen Wood, this session explores what makes assessment effective for multilingual learners, interpreting results meaningfully, tracking progress in ways that inform classroom practice and strategic planning across the whole school.

Another chance to connect with James Buchanan, Head of Partnerships, APAC who is attending this conference as a delegate. He hopes to learn a great deal from chatting to fellow delegates about how their roles in admissions, student recruitment and teaching of multilingual learners are being impacted by AI and education technology, as well as sharing insights from Password’s own work within this domain.

This event is an afternoon of talks, networking and celebration with our partners to mark the 10th anniversary of the Password Skills test. There will be a chance to catch up on developments in the world of English language testing and we will introduce Password’s own newest testing service, which has already been successfully adopted this summer by some of our partner universities.
