Yee Sin Lee

Yee Sin Lee from Malaysia is planning to go to University in the UK. She has already achieved good grades in her high school exams now wants to go directly to the first year of an undergraduate programme in Electrical Engineering.

Yee Sin took the Password test in May 2009 and achieved a score of Password 5.5.  The Password chart indicated that she needed to improve her English before joining the course of her choice but that her English was good enough for her to study on a pre-sessional course at a UK university.  Yee Sin applied to several universities in the UK who all offered her a place on their pre-sessional programme leading to their course in Electrical Engineering.  Now all Yee Sin needs to do is decide which offer to accept!

Omar Shehab

Omar Shehab from the UAE left high school at 17 with reasonable grades in his high school exams.  He wants to study on an international foundation programme in the UK and then go on to university.

Omar took the Password test in January 2009 and achieved a score of Password 4.0.  Since many international foundation programmes in the UK require a score of Password 5.0 or higher, Omar knew that he needed to study English for a few months before he would be able to join the course of his dreams. After three months studying general English in his home town, Omar took the Password test again in April 2009.  This time he scored Password 5.0 and was able to apply to a wide range of programmes. Password has given Omar the ability to choose not be chosen.

Nicos Papadopoulos

Nicos Papadopoulos from Cyprus wanted to spend 6 months in the UK learning English. He took the Password Intro test in November 2008 and achieved a Password Intro 4.0. This enabled the language school that Nicos was joining to place him in the correct class on entry, which meant that he was able to make progress immediately.
