Password tests are easy to deliver and results are readily accessible at the end of a testing session. Each Password test run is different and unique. As a test is downloaded over the Internet, a set of randomised questions is drawn from the vast data bank held by the Password Platform.

Our partner institutions are given two sets of unique login codes. The first accesses the tests themselves, and the second accesses the test-takers’ results and co-branded certificates, which are stored in a private area of the results database. Getting set up is simple and our helpful IT support team are here to help if required.

Most modern PC’s meet the requirements to run Password tests. The minimum requirements are:

  • Microsoft Windows 7 or above operating system.
  • Internet Explorer 9 or above.

Password tests are delivered and invigilated by our partner institutions’ staff and in turn their overseas partners’ staff. The British Council can also arrange to deliver tests in many of their offices around the world. Click here for a list of British Council contacts.
