Password tests are individually customised for language schools using test modules as required from the list below:

Password Knowledge

Password Knowledge is a sophisticated test of grammar and vocabulary. It takes one hour and is computer marked.

Password Pupil

A version of Password Knowledge suitable for younger learners.

Password Reading

Password Reading consists of five tasks which become increasingly demanding as the test progresses. The test takes one hour and fifteen minutes and is computer marked.

Password Writing

In the Password Writing test, there is a choice of two essay titles, one of which must be answered in thirty minutes. The test is human marked either by the Password Team or a language schools’ own teachers following our marking criteria.

Password Listening

Password Listening consists of five sections which become increasingly demanding as the test progresses. The test takes one hour and is computer marked.

Password Speaking

The Password Speaking test has five sections in which the time the test taker must speak increases as the test progresses. The test takes twenty minutes and is human marked either by the Password Team or a language schools’ own teachers following our marking criteria.
